Shape of Momo

For Bishnu, the choice is stark and unforgiving: return to the traditional rhythms of her village, or claim her freedom in the anonymous expanse of the city. One path promises safety. The other, the unknown.
Bishnu walks away from her advertising career in Delhi and returns to the Himalayan village of her childhood, to her mother's house in Sikkim. Days later, her pregnant sister arrives, seeking refuge from her mother-in-law's cruelty. Under one roof, three generations of women—and the fierce grandmother at their center, more interested in her iPad than in anyone's expectations of her.
With a gentle but observant eye, director Tribeny Rai enters a household caught between worlds. The family's apparent peace is fragile. Bishnu's assertive, modern sensibility constantly offends her mother's devotion to village custom. When a young architect appears, everyone suddenly has opinions about marriage. As traditions clash with desire, Bishnu must finally choose: compliance or freedom? The film moves with quiet humor and genuine tenderness, refusing easy answers.
